We've had extraordinarily warm weather this winter. With any luck, that means spring will soon be on its way! And when spring arrives...so do rain showers.

Goldwing riders are lucky - our fairings keep rain off most of us, as long as we're moving. However, our legs and feet are out in the rain, and there is nothing more miserable than riding with soaking wet, cold feet!

This month's contest prize is a pair of Hopnel rain gators. Designed to protect your boots and lower legs from rain and wind, they're made of water resistant nylon and have heat shields on the lower inside of each leg as well as having wear pads for the shifter on the toe area. There is an elastic calf band to keep them from billowing in the wind and full length Velcro closures makes them very easy to put on and take off.

The toe portion that fits over the front of your boot has a non-slip bottom and there is an elastic band that goes under your boot to keep them from riding up. By having only the front section that goes under your boot, it leaves the middle and heel uncovered so that you don't lose any "feel" on the foot pegs or ground as you would with other styles of rain protection. They come in a handy storage pouch and there is a pocket on the left leg to keep the storage pouch in while you are wearing them. And...they're one size fits all!
